Message: Dr. Jacob Chacko
Topic: Life’s choices- where it will lead us to ultimately. Living a life sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirit.
Lessons learned from the life of Lot:
- The choices that we make today, will determine where we end up in later life.
- The choices that we make will depend on what is in our hearts, whether our heart’s desire is to love the Lord and follow Him and serve Him.
- A small deviation early in our life will result in significant effects in later life.
Lessons learned from the life of Phillip:
- Philip was sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, obedient and available.
- If we are faithful in obeying what direction God gives us, He will lead us to greater things.
- God does not show us the entire blue-print of our lives in one stretch; when we are obedient in the first step, He will lead us to the next step.
- Philip’s choice to be obedient to the Lord resulted in his own life being blessed, and in him being a blessing to others.

“LOOKING UNTO JESUS.
Finding our purpose in Him through worship (as God reveals Himself)
Pastor Ashish once taught me something really wonderful about “Praise”. When I want to praise someone I dont say, “I praise you, I praise you and I praise you some more”. That would be weird. Instead I’d say, “I like your dress” or “I love your eyes and you sing really beautifully”.
Sadly, when we praise God, “God I praise you. I praise you oh Lord”
Be more vocal. Use your words. Thank God for who He is, and especially for who He is to you!”.
Sometimes I feel unworthy to worship like I’m not fit to worship God; to even say “God you are good”. GOD is GOOD, thats the truth and that fact isn’t going to change based on what you did or did not do. So no matter where you stand, you can praise God for who He is”
Lord you are more precious than silver
You are my all in all
For who you are
Who am I
Your grace is sufficient for me

Worship – This word kept me wondering what it really means , what is its true meaning. Almost 18yr have passed involved in this ministry of worshipper of Him.
And as I meditated on worshipping, singing, playing instrument I came to recognize more strongly and deeply that its all about who GOD is, His Attributes. His holiness, glory, love, mercy, grace, omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence, eternality, goodness, unchangeable, immorality… and so on.
By Holy Spirit leading the following Songs were chosen.
Everlasting to everlasting – eternal being
Give thanks to the lord our god and king -goodness
You are filled with compassion – compassion
I stand in awe of you -holiness
You are not God created by Human hands – Omniscience, omnipotence
Take me past the outer court – To Behold His Glory
Holy spirit Your welcome here – Praying for Spirit leading to know Him.

“The theme for worship was about being the child of God.
?And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”.
Why little children? They are humble, innocent and totally dependent on their parents. (Father)
To become like little children means our hearts should be like the little children. A small kid always want to be with his Father, always wants to play with him and talk to him. When we come in the presence of God to worship, we should come like a small kid runs to his father. Though we have spiritually grown a lot from the time we are born again, we are still a small kid in God’s, like we are still the small kid for our parents no matter how old we grow.
?A small kid trusts his father no matter what. He blindly believes that his Father will do good for him. Inspire of his scoldings, corrections, punishments or not permitting for certain things, the kid sticks to his father because he knows his Father is good. If so loving a earthly father can be, then how loving and good our heavenly father should be.
?We have the tendency that we rely on our own strength at times. Only if our issues and problems and issues are big enough we look into God. We should seek his way and plan in every little thing we do.
Jeremiah 29:11 says He has made plans to prosper and not to fail.
Whatever is the situation, God will make a way.
?Exodus 15:26 “I am the God who heals you”
Psalms 107:20 “He sent his word and healed them and delivered from their destructions.”
God’s word is not void. Be it our worldly or spiritual suffering or diseases, God will heal us. It’s his promise.
?After Jesus resurrected from death, he addressed his disciples as dear children. (John 21:5). But earlier Jesus had asked them to convert like little children. (Matthew 18:3). In a course of time, as the disciples grew spiritually with Jesus Christ their hearts got converted like Little children. And these were the ones who were sent to the corners of the World to spread the Gospel.
Unless and until we change our hearts like the little children and submit ourselves to our Father, we can’t work according to his great plans.”

“You can’t worship a God you do not know . You can’t call upon a God whose power you do not know. Remember the Verse from 1st kings 18 – Elijah on the mountain.
You love God more when you know Him more . You know God more when you spend time worshiping and reading His word.”
Who is like the Lord
The battle belongs to the Lord
Shout to the Lord
Purify my heart
Knowing you Jesus
Open my eyes Lord, I want to see Jesus
All heaven declares
Lord I offer my life
(How Great Thou Art)

Johan says, “While preparing for the Sunday worship, I was constantly bombarded with verses from the Bible that talked about our need to communicate with God through our mouths, in praise, in prayer & in proclamation. In ‘Psalm 34:1’ David tells us that he praises God at “all times”. Incidentally ‘Psalm 34:1’ also mentions that he wrote this Psalm while recalling a time in his life when he was trying to escape death. This leaves us Christians with no excuse to ‘not praise God’, irrespective of what we are going through! All the songs were chosen in relation to this theme.”
The song list:
- Shout to the North & the South:
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’”
- Shout to the Lord:
“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;”
- All heaven declares:
“Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
Psalm 19 (1-4)
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.”
- You deserve the glory:
Jeremiah 10: 6 & 7
6 No one is like you, LORD;
you are great,
and your name is mighty in power.
7 Among all the wise leaders of the nations
and in all their kingdoms,
there is no one like you.
- Praise His Name:
“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.”
- Stand (A special song by Surina Christopher)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

“I was driving in the car with my brother in April when a very familiar song ‘My Saviour, My God’ played on the radio. God laid it on my heart to use this song and its title as the center for the next worship session. Almost 6 weeks later as I was exploring God as our Saviour, I was blown away by how simple redemption was and yet how deep it was! As the choice of songs fell into place (including a last minute change), I found myself strengthened by what a loving Saviour we have and how much He loves us enough that He should die for us”.
1. Glory, Glory in the highest
2. Your name is Holy
3. Wonderful, Merciful Saviour
4. My Saviour My God by Aaron Shust
5. Shout to the Lord
6. Saviour like a Shepherd
Jude 1:25 : To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen
Acts 5:31: God exalted Him (Jesus) to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that He might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.
2 Timothy 1: 9, 10: He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

“The songs that the Holy spirit imprinted in my heart where first to declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our life and all of us to bless him for his sacrifice on the cross , bless father God for His love and Bless the Holy spirit for his companionship.
Then throughout the week was lead to look in to life of a believer ,what happens to him when he is caught in a storm . storm of this life . storms of sickness, difficulties, financial problems, relationship issues and so on…
Answer was from words of the song Anchor by hillsong . The Hope we have in Jesus is the only our Anchor for my soul.
So all the songs depicted the picture of a ship in midst of storm Anchored . so we have in Jesus Christ as the anchor for our souls. Hebrews 6 11. giving the lord praise and honor for his utter faithfulness even the midst of storm was heart of the worship time.
Never did I recognize that this thought was not just for church, the congregation or for those attending service but for me who was to have emergency surgery for appendectomy the day after leading and singing and trusting in the anchor of my soul. 2 weeks later I can testify as the song says I have this hope as a anchor for my soul in every storm I will hold to you. And even when the oceans raise and thunders roll I will soar with you upon the storm. I am getting better and recovering now.
Lord holy spirit leads us in True worship of God as we wait on Him and also empowers us to know of his Nature and Character Si we can Trust in the Eternal God.”
Lord your are my God.
Blessed be the name of the Lord
My life is in you lord.
Faithful one so unchanging
When the oceans raise (Still).
Oceans (where feet my fail)
