“He is my Song”

Music is such an integral part of our lives. As Christians, music is an even more exciting tool to draw closer to God. Its an amazing experience when God puts a song in our hearts. He surrounds us with a melody when we are shackled by fear, sin and the weight of the world. His song sets us free so we are no longer slaves, but a child of God. Lifting God high in worship is such a beautiful experience when we are free and surrounded by His song. Enthralled, we can say that He is our song, our protector and our deliverer! How great Thou art!!

Todays time of worship came out of many personal experiences in 2017 that helped reshape my faith in God and realise how it is to be held together solely by His grace and love. He is my song!

Song list:

Jesus put a song in my heart (Sunday school song)

Jesus put this song into my heart (Graham Kendrick)

I will give thanks to thee (Brent Chambers)

No longer slaves (Bethel)

I’m glad it happened – Reckless love

“We are constantly fighting battles (issues) in our everyday life and many a time we wonder why we go through these issues. Reminding ourselves that we have a GOD who’d leave the ninety nine just so that He can keep the one (me) safe, and that He’d go to any length to find me and learning to put on the garment of praise rather than a disheartened spirit is how I should fight these battles.

And through these troubles we should be able to say “I’m glad it happened”, because HE is always watching over me.”

25th December: Christmas @ Church

Sermon: Mr. Paul

Title: Lessons from Joseph

Sermon Audio

Worship: Johan

“At this season of Christmas, it is our duty as Christians to celebrate the first coming & at the same time look forward to the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ as well. At this season we remember the great sacrifice that was made for us, in that Jesus left all his heavenly glory & came into this world as a man, for you & me. We respond to him with thankfulness & a life style of worship. As Paul Baloche rightly said, “What can I do, but thank you, what can I do but give my life to you. Hallelujah!”

Song List

*Hark the herald/King of Heaven by Paul Baloche

*Christmas offering by Casting Crowns

*Oh holy night

*Your name (Christmas version) by Paul Baloche

*What can I do (Christmas version) by Paul Baloche.

“True Meaning of Christmas”

Sermon Audio

Sunday School Program:

Beginners

Juniors

Seniors

Worship: Benjamin

The worship session today was a lead up to the Childrens Christmas program. We concentrated on the fact that we cannot separate the manger  from the cross. Christmas is not a stand-alone event, but a beautiful event that God interweaved intricately into history that links the beginning, the birth of Jesus, the sacrifice He made and the joy of eternal life that we have today. We may not have been there in the sky as angels singing “Gloria in excelsis Deo” on that day, but we can worship the king with the same joy today.

As a church it needs to be our heartfelt wish that each child will know the true meaning of  Christmas and that we as individuals and as a church have not forgotten the true significance of this season.

Song List

– Angels we have heard on high (Gloria in excelsis deo)

– He is exalted

– Christmas Canon (Each child will know)

– Its your blood that cleanses me

– Joy to the world
